I wasn’t able to make a post during and after Christmas because of tons of stuff to do. Never mind, better late than never!
Anyway, Christmas 2013 is the first “not pregnant” Christmas I will celebrate since I got pregnant with my first. So this is extra special. Plus, we spend Christmas at my parents’ home (it was the first time for my husband to see how we celebrate it by the way) so there’s lots of presents and yummy food.
Christmas at home is something I really look forward to. Aside from the overflowing food – which we all made at home, my family and I play games (BINGO is our favorite), sing songs and just do silly stuff as we wait for 12 midnight. When I was still younger, my cousins and I even prepare and practice for a dance presentation. That’s how we take Christmas seriously. And more importantly, Christmas is the time where we spend time together as a family.
I don’t know if I can continue the tradition with my kids but I’m definitely teaching them the value of Christmas. It’s not just about food or how big and beautiful the Christmas tree is or the number of gifts you got or even the kind of gift you received. It’s about getting together as a family and valuing each other. It’s about giving and sharing and not expecting anything in return.
Here are some of the Christmas pictures I want to share with you.
I hope you all had a merry Christmas too! 🙂
