Welcoming the month of June
Because it’s my birthday month!
I’m not really a big birthday party type of person but there’s just so many things to look forward to. Aside from adding another year to my age (though I’m not that old yet), and hoping that my husband will surprise me with a dinner date (wishful thinking, haha!), it is my Baby J’s first birthday too!
My husband, as “frugal” as ever, doesn’t want to throw a big party and spend lots on her birthday since “she won’t remember it anyway.”He wanted a simple celebration with family and friends so being the obliging wife (yes, I am being sarcastic :p), I said fine. Even if I really want to throw a big party for her, I can’t do this on my own. Still, what matters is we are able to celebrate her birthday, no matter how simple it may be.
Aside from my and my baby’s birthday, June started with a new business opportunity. Aside from writing, I also have an online shop where I sell home and living products such as curtains and bed sheets. A few weeks ago, I got a call from one of the biggest online malls in the country and offered me a partnership. After much thinking and push from my husband, I accepted the offer. I’m still not sure how it will go but there’s no harm in trying, right? Plus, it’s another way for me to earn and a good opportunity for me to “test the waters” and try out different things outside ny comfort zone. Who knows, business will be good to me.
June, so far, so good!
