TMC Workshop Guide: Managing Family Income and Budget

When I was still living with my parents, I always hear about “budget,” “savings” and “income” inside the home. Although my parents don’t discuss how they are able to make ends meet, I know that my mom is responsible for managing the family income and budgeting. Now that I am a mom and a wife, I find myself in the same situation.

One of the things I learned when I had my own family is HOW TO BUDGET. However, it wasn’t an easy one. During our first year, my husband and I always eat out, order pizza or McDonald’s and go crazy in the grocery. It was when my husband had an ACL injury that we found ourselves managing a limited budget. I have to live with a certain amount every month while taking care of our baby’s needs and paying for house help, bills and grocery. Since then, we started (and finally mastered) the art of budgeting.

Every household is different. However, one thing is for sure: YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MANAGE YOUR FAMILY INCOME.
